Racing Drone Parts Overview

Racing drone parts are critical to the smooth and safe flight of drones. Knowing the knowledge of racing drone parts will not only enhance your confidence in drone flight,  but also will make it easier to replace and upgrade your racing drone parts while regularly checking your racing drone parts.

Racing drone parts - Quick Overview
1. Propeller
Generally speaking, most of the drones on the market have their propellers on the top. The propellers push the air downwards like a propeller to generate lift through the characteristics of the reaction force. Although it seems not much difference from the angle of up and down, there are still pros and cons.
Most propellers on the market choose plastic products, or higher quality carbon fiber propellers. For safety reasons, you can also add some drone blade protection measures(such as external protective covers, etc.), especially when flying indoors or in the vicinity of someone.
2.  Brushless Motor
At present, almost all new drones on the market have used external-turning brushless motors, which are safer, more efficient and less noisy than brushed motors. The design of the motor is equally important, as more efficient motors can save battery life and increase drone flight time, which is what every user expects.
3. Receiver
Usually it is a radio receiving component, which the minimum channel required for control is 4, but 5 are recommended. If you need to DIY a drone yourself, there are many receiver manufacturers on the market for you to choose today.
4. Antenna
Depending on your receiver, it could be an iron cylinder antenna or a rubber antenna.
5. Battery
The best battery on the market is a lithium polymer battery that has the best combination of power, energy and life.
6. Battery Housekeeper
A monitoring of your battery is critical to flight safety. If the drone is flying too far, it will either rush to land or crash directly after running out of power.
7. Yuntai
It is a drone component, which the Inspire 1 Zenmuse X5R PTZ is rotatably mounted to provide a stable working environment for cameras or other sensors.
8. Sensor
Modern drones are not just aerial photography and photography. Lidars, thermal energy and other types of sensors are also installed on drones and used in different fields.
The camera installed with the GPS can be used to accurately create 3D measurement images, and the 3D measurement images are formed by stitching the images through the flight path and regular photographs every second.
9. Anti-collision Sensor
Modern drones also include anti-collision sensors based on vision, ultrasound (sounding), infrared, and laser radar.
10. Landing gear
If the drone needs to rise and fall in an irregular ground or complex environment, the landing gear needs to be installed. Of course, if the ground conditions are good and there are no other pods and mounting equipment, you can choose not to install the landing gear.
Today, most drones are equipped with fixed landing gear. However, more flexible landing gear, such as those that require 360-degree aerial photography, can fold the tripod telescopically without obscuring the lens line of sight.

11. Rack
In general, short racks can increase the mobility of the drone, while long-range drones are more stable. The rack is the main part of the drone, but it is easily damaged by impact, so fly as far away from the ground as possible.
12. Drone Board
This is the central hub of the drone, starting to radiate like a spoke of a wheel, with batteries, flight controls, ESCs, cameras, receivers, etc.
13. Electronic Speed Controller (ESC)
Commonly known as "electrical adjustment", it is an electronic circuit designed to change the speed and direction of the motor, as well as the brakes. It converts DC power into three-phase AC to drive the motor.
ESC is one of the important components of modern drones, which provide high-power, high-frequency, high-resolution three-phase AC power to the motor.
14. GPS Module
The GPS module is typically a combination of a receiver and a geomagnetic instrument that provides latitude, longitude, altitude and heading. GPS is an important condition for waypoint navigation and autonomous flight. The use of GPS without drone is very limited. GPS can navigate a long distance relative to in-line, and can use 3D images with lidar and photogrammetric sensors.
GPS stands for Global Positioning System, and as long as there are at least four or more US satellites nearby, it can provide the system with a standard location time and weather conditions in the area.
